Antiseptic wound spray. Iodine Tincture Spray is a yellowish-brown solution containing 2.5% w/v of Iodine in an alcohol base.
Properties: The tincture (alcohol) form of Iodine is more stable and iodoform is produced from the free iodine released from the oxidation process. Iodine is germicidal, bactericidal, and sporicidal in its action and is very effective against a wide range of organisms associated with bactericidal or fungal conditions.
Indications: Can be used on all species for the prevention or treatment of wounds, minor burns, abscesses, ringworm, footrot, mud fever. It can also be used in preventing local infections of the naval, after castration and de-horning. As a general antiseptic/disinfectant for skin infections.
Application: Iodine Tincture Spray is applied as spray topically to the infected skin areas at a distance of 8-15cm from the wound. Treatment may be repeated twice daily and continued as long as required.

Precautions: Light coloured animals may show temporary discoloration of the hair. Store in the original container, tightly closed, away from foodstuffs. Dispose of empty containers safely. Avoid contamination of any water supply with chemical or empty containers. Wash hands and expose skin after use.
